Rachael grew up in Alaska and moved to Texas as a teenager. After finishing high school, she took various jobs such as being an au-pair in Germany and a coffee farmer in Hawaii.
When she was 25, Rachael went back to school to get a B.S. degree in Geology from Michigan Tech University. During her time at Tech she worked as a university photographer, research associate, summer youth teacher, office associate, and in the local co-op kitchen, which is where she first met her future husband, Diego.
After graduating from Tech, Rachael moved to Asheville, NC in 2014 to give birth to her son, Ramsay Luis. Diego and Rachael were married in 2015 and moved to the Upper Midwest in April of 2016 to be closer to family. Rachael loves cooking, photography, politics, environmental science, reading, and traveling. She is excited to be living a new place and looks forward to learning what Madison has in store.
